A few months ago, TV personality Andrew Zimmern was spotted in both Atlanta and Athens filming segments for a season 3 episode of Appetite For Life. A4L is an online “TV” show that focuses on Southern food and culture. After a few months editing, the Atlanta episode is now available online.
The episode includes lots of stops, tons of good articles, recipes, photos, and interactive maps for your perusal. For the trip, Zimmern stopped in at a UGA tailgate with Mike “Big Dawg” Woods, visited The Varsity, delivered meals to those in need, and dipped in at Blind Willie’s. I’ve taken the liberty of linking to and embedding all the goodness … check it out, after the jump!

Appetite For Life is more than just a few online videos. In fact, there are some great articles to be found. For the ATL episode, there is a write-up on the aforementioned Mike “Big Dawg” Woods entitled Chasing His Own Tailgate. Then there is a full-fledged slideshow featuring lots of food porn and a recipe for Wood’s Beer Can Chicken Mopping Sauce. To keep your attention, there’s also an interview with Blind Willie’s part-owner Gordon Kerr covering topics like blues music and of course, a recipe for Blind Willie’s hot wings and blue cheese dip.
You can keep up with all the A4L happenings on the show’s website and on their twitter account. Zimmern himself can be found via @AndrewZimmern.
