Restaurant Depot, a sort of Costco’s/Sam’s Club to the restaurant industry, is in deep. It appears that due to a case of hackery, anyone who shopped at Restaurant Depot and Jetro Cash & Carry between September 21, 2011 and November 18, 2011 has probably had their credit card number stolen.
I just learned of this via an email that pointed to this post on a firearms website. I’m assuming this Gawker post lends some credence to the validity of this story. RD has issued a letter to its customers (but who freaking checks their mail these days), so the firearms site was kind enough to publish the letter. I don’t think Jetro has any locations here in the ATL, but RD sure does … so this will certainly have an impact around these parts.
