As reported on omnivore, Chef Carmen Cappello has shut down Lamplighter Cafe. Apparently, they were robbed on Christmas Day. While the menu was promising and the vibe was warm, they had trouble keeping the place full. I ate there three times and had some great things and some not so great things.
I have inquired via email to see how this has affected their plans for the Shame Burger, a creation that includes a slice of scrapple (wiki). I will update you when I hear back.
