I love to hear about all the international conventions going on! I am never able to attend, so I basically get the neener-neener feeling by simply visiting the website of the offending event! That said, Tokyo Taste looks like it will be quite an event. Though Terminites (correct conjugation???) do not have the personal connection to this event like we did with Madrid Fusion (internal), I thought I’d share a little bit about the event.
Tokyo Taste starts February 9, 2009 and runs through the 11th. I bet you can figure out where it is :-)! Famed chefs Joël Robuchon and Ferran Adrià (internal) serve as “Honorary Advisors.” The talent scheduled to appear is truly impressive! Included guests are: Hervé This (who I love to follow), Nobu Matsuhisa, and Grant Achatz (internal), who won the 2008 Best Chef by the James Beard Foundation. With the amount of love shown for Molecular Cooks, this even seems destine for greatness!
