Well bumtastic! It appears that chef Carmen Cappello is the latest Atlanta knife-master to head out of town. Cappello’s unfortunate string of luck has been well documented; so this is not the biggest of surprises. Still, guys like Tuohy left on their own terms. I have a sneaking suspicion that Cappello, a Philadelphia native, went home because of circumstances out of his control.
Though food at Lamplighter was a bit inconsistent, Cappello always welcomed his guests with a friendly attitude and a strong effort. Damn you cruel fate!
