Techies Cook! You Too Can Make Your Own Pasta

So while we may not win any culinary awards, those of us who make our money in the technology sector still know a thing or two about food.  Case in point: EatItAtlanta.com is run by one such person and Jeff Varasano cut his teeth sitting at a terminal [Jeff may invalidate my opening statement if his pizza place drops it like it’s hot]. Enter Jeremy Zawodny.

I have had Jeremy’s feed pumping into my RSS reader since I started using one.  He currently works at Craigslist and spends most of his time talking nerd.  Every now and then, Jeremy shares his culinary experiences with us.  His latest one is a pretty good post on making homemade pasta.  You can follow his work in pictures over on Flickr!.

Jeremy makes his on pasta using a KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Stand Mixer and a KitchenAid KPRA Pasta Roller Attachment.  He also recommends the The Complete Book of Pasta and Noodles, though I’ve never opened that one myself.

If you don’t have the necessary tools, you should check out Via Elisa, a kick ass pasta shop over on Howell Mill Rd (directions).  Their stuff is über awesome, so even if you do make your own pasta – go drop in sometime over at Via Elisa.
