Star Wars + Cupcakes + LEGOs = Happy Buddha. You probably already realized this a few weeks ago when a great Star Wars Cupcake photo flickered across my stream. This time we can thank Rachel Manning and her eye-candy littered Flickr stream for this amazing doozey. Yes folks, those cupcake minifigs [what you might call the little lego action figures] are all concocted from edible material despite their amazing resemblance to the plastic versions. I have several of these minifigs in and around my house and I had to do a double take when I stumbled upon this here picture. In what can only be considered some cruel joke of fate beyond my control … Manning lives in the UK, so no ordering this stuff for us, but nonetheless – it’s awesome to look at. Though a skilled cake decorator who does things other than fulfill young boys dreams, check out that bad ass Lego Star Wars Millenium Falcon wedding cake, replete with some very detailed cake-based minifigs of Han, Princess Leia, and R2-D2. Meanwhile, I am pretty sure I just setup my nephew for a tearful day when I sent his mother a picture of Rachel’s Lots-O-Huggin Bear cake. If she thinks better of it, she’ll withhold the picture as it will sure as shit make the little rascal green with envy. Manning’s work is a pleasant cacophony of joyful baked goods!
