I’ve spent an extensive amount of time talking with a variety of people about photography and blogs. I’m actually a huge fan of photography (and film!) but I am far from a skilled photographer.
My biggest concern is that I think it is important to have as an authentic experience as possible when dining out. Drawing attention to yourself (ordering 5 apps if you are one person, pulling out a full on SLR, having people restaurateurs recognize you, etc…etc..) can greatly alter your experience.
I prefer to fly under the radar. That said, people seem to overwhelmingly want pictures with my posts. So with that, I’m off to buy a half-decent point and shoot. Expect my own photographs to pop up sometime late next week. Don’t hold your breath; there is a reason this isn’t a photography blog!
If you are trying to fly under the radar, just turn off the flash. No one will notice if you have a point and shoot.
Good point! 🙂 Now I just have to go camera shopping! Thanks Dirty.
